This photo was taken in the Spring of 2007, when the sun was shining very brightly!
If you read on we have changed a lot since those early days.

On Sunday the 8th of September 1991 a small group of about 25 people met together for the first time at the Reigate School in Woodhatch. RRCC was born...
This group was led by a recently married Stephen Gyles, ably supported by his wife Theresa. In those days, the large majority of the church were single, male and under 25 years old. Our desire was to grow a church by drawing in people who were not Christians - and eventually to be able to start other churches elsewhere.
Eighteen years later on the large majority of the church are in their mid thirties with young families. We are led by a group of, currently, three elders. The church has grown to about 250 (including children) - with a good number of those being local families who have come to faith. We are now just beginning to be able to plant other churches.
We have a pretty good idea about what we want to see happening in our community - and we are looking forward to the future to see just what God does.
A history of a church is a history of its people. The best way to discover more about our history is to come and to talk to those who were there at the time. Of course, not everyone who was in the church then is still part of it now. Over the years we have welcomed many people into our church family and also seen many move on to serve elsewhere in God's Kingdom.
Here are just a few of the people that we are still in touch with:
- Jon & Fiona Reilly - Jon joined the police and is serving in the Bristol area where they live.
- Adrian & Julia Holloway - they are helping lead Christ Church London where Adrian serves as an evangelist.
- Neil & Sonya Chitty - have recently moved to Bethany Christian Fellowship in Harpenden where Neil now leads the eldership team.
- Eric & Alison Cairns - having been involved in two church plants in England have now moved to be involved in church planting Hope Church in Glasgow.
- Kaye Misodi (nee Hieatt) - trained as a Primary School teacher, moved to South Africa to be involved in a church plant in Johannesburg - Godfirst Church - and married Hill, an African pastor.
- Jon and Laura Nixon - trained at Moorlands Bible college before Jon joined the eldership team at The Family Church Christchurch
- Catherine Ferraro (nee Norris) - Cath married Luc and moved to the south of France where the pair of them are involved in church planting in Bezier.
- Phil & Helen Sutherland - part of the church in Reigate for nearly 10 years before leaving with a group of about 34 people to see a church planted in Dorking - the Vine.
- Matthew & Ruth Visick Evans - they are back now ... but they spent the best part of four years living and working in Kampala, for Oasis Uganda.
Just a note to people in the church - if you know of others,
