Notes for Personal Application or Group Study

Read John 1:35-51

Everybody is following something and / or someone ... who are you following?

Nik defined a 'disciple' as being a student of a Rabbi or a philosopher, who committed themselves to memorizing and living according to their masters teaching.

Q.  We are all disciples of Jesus ... how are you doing with that?

If you are a disciple of Jesus, you are also called to make disciples of others.

Q.  To what degree is it possible for everyone to be involved in discipling others?

Jesus is stilll involved in discipling people even now!

Q. How does Jesus disciple us?

-  Direct communication via the Holy Spirit, including the way in which the Spirit convicts us.

-  Through people, either brothers and sisters in Christ, or through complete pagans(!)

-  Circumstances of life ... different situations.  Sometimes they stretch us, but we tend to remember the lessons we learn from life!

Q.  Finally, are you learning and are you growing?  What encouragement have you had in your life that would be good. helpful or funny for other people to hear?!
