Does 'political' involvement distract from the gospel ?

Wayne Grudem is known to many as the author of the bestselling Systematic Theology, as well as one of the translators of the English Standard Version of the Bible.  On this UK tour he will be visiting various towns and cities in the UK (including Chessington on 30 June - 7.45 - 9.15pm at The King's Centre), enouraging Christians to think biblically about how and why we should speak out on moral issues.

Who are the events for?

It’s for every Christian who wants to love their neighbour through speaking out clearly and publicly on moral issues.

Why should I come?

Christians in Britain are increasingly marginalised for our beliefs. Yet these beliefs can help society avoid hurt and harm. Wayne Grudem will help you think biblically about why and how Christians should speak out.

What will I gain from the events?

By the end of an event you’ll have answers to questions like:

  • Should we speak out on public issues when the real problem is people’s hearts?
  • Should faith be kept as an entirely private matter?
  • Can Christians ever agree on Bible-based responses to political issues?
  • Do we risk a social gospel that drifts away from the good news about Jesus?
  • What are the limits on religion in politics?
  • What practical action can we take?

Entry is free.
