On Sunday May 15th, six months after it was first proposed to the church, Nik Ball took on the leadership of our eldership team.

 

 

Paul, Nik and Al are the current eldership team at RRCC.

 

We have taken time in making this change within the eldership team to ensure that we made a good decision.  The good news is that we have ended up with an increased confidence that we've been following the leading of the Holy Spirit in and through these changes.

 

This leadership repositioning is one of a number of changes that we are making in order to be more effective in serving the mission God has called us to be on together.

 

Other changes include:

-  Starting the process of appointing deacons to serve in different areas of church life

-  Continuing to invest in people through a growing number of discipleship groups

-  Beginning to focus on the reinvigoration of our Cell groups

-  Revisiting how we welcome people into the church and help them to feel part of the family

-  Looking again at our use of Buildings for different activities of the church

 

As with any process of change, some people find this an exciting time while other people can feel unsettled.  The challenge to us all is to love one another in the midst of change and to make sure that we do not miss out on the grace of God!

 

God is good, all the time, and we can trust Him!
