RRCC SUMMER CAMP
Sun 22 – Sat 28 August 2010
WHY A SUMMER CAMP ?
Because we want to spend time together as a (church) family. There will be ‘something for everyone’ – including the teenagers as the famous RRCC Surf Trip will be running at the same time !
WHERE ?
North Devon, in a simple campsite which has fantastic views towards the sea and which is within walking and driving distance of a number of great beaches renowned for safe swimming, good surfing, and excellent sand castling !
Warcombe Farm, Warcombe Lane, Mortehoe, North Devon EX34 7EJ
WHAT IS AT THE CAMPSITE ?
- Plenty of space for tents and caravans
- Permanent showers and toilet block, with flush toilets. There will be additional portable flush toilets and showers on site for
extra ease and comfort.
- No electrical hook-ups
- A cookhouse which our catering team will use to provide meals for both the surf trip and the main camp, as well as to supply hot water for washing up, occasional hot drinks etc.
WHAT DO WE DO WHILE WE’RE THERE ?
- Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday morning : planned activities for all children aged 0 – Year 8
- Monday / Tuesday afternoon : fun for the whole (church !) family – maybe on the beach, maybe on site
- Sunday / Monday / Tuesday evening : worship and teaching meetings (separate youth meeting)
Once the main camp finishes on Wednesday lunchtime : you can stay on and enjoy North Devon - walking, surfing (tuition available for additional cost), swimming, visiting galleries and stately homes, take a trip to Lundy Island, cycling or walking the Tarka trail, cream teas, shopping, and more.
FOOD ?
And to make it a real holiday for you, we will be providing breakfast and an evening meal (hot) for everybody (including those staying off site) on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
