The leadership of RRCC takes the issue of ‘safeguarding’ very seriously and is committed to providing a safe and caring environment for our children, young people and vulnerable adults. Part of that commitment includes the provision of a Safeguarding Policy which you can find here (as a PDF document). For reasons of copyright you will need to be a registered user of this website, and logged on, to be able to see the document.
Children's / Youth Groups
All of the following groups run every Sunday morning and usually for the whole morning. The majority of the time the children will be dropped off in their groups just after 9.50am, thus allowing the parents to be back in the hall for the start of the meeting. On occasion, the children will either start off in the hall, or return to the hall at some point during the morning, either to join in with the worship, or for some church family activity, eg baptisms. When we have a Family Service, the children will be in the hall for the whole meeting, which will typically run for about an hour.
Crèche (Birth - 2 1/2'ish)
In the course of a morning we will offer unstructured play, a simple craft activity for the older children, a bible story and songs. We provide snacks (rice cakes or bread sticks) but please could you leave a marked beaker of water when you sign your child into crèche. You can leave your children in the crèche or stay with your children if you prefer. You may of course keep sleeping or quiet children in the meeting during the talk - though please take them out of the meeting hall if they become distressed.
Little Explorers (3 yr olds)
Come and explore about God’s world & about being part of his family in this group for 3 year olds. We have fun learning through games, Bible stories, songs, crafts & organised activities. There is also plenty of time for unstructured play with toys & puzzles.
Messengers (Reception age children)
This is the goup for children who are 4 until they finish reception and enter Year 1. It's all about fun with toys, games, craft and music. Each week we have an interactive Bible story, followed by a related craft activity. We also have a bit of worship and prayer. Come along to learn more about God in a fun way.
KidzChurch (Year 1 - Year 6)
Kidzchurch is a diverse and lively environment for our children, their friends and our many visitors to get to know who God is and to experience His love while having fun.
Our aims are to enable kids to;
- - learn His word.
- - get to know Jesus.
- - love each other by building lasting friendships.
- - worship the living God with up tempo action and traditional songs.
Our year 5 and 6 Kidzchurchers have a separate ROCK SOLID group, for the last half hour of the morning, to enable them to go deeper into that morning's topic. During this time they can, amongst other things, ask loads of questions, share experiences and pray for each other.
Y2C [Younger Youth Cell] (Year 7 - Year 9)
Y2C meet twice a week; on Sunday mornings - which is the primary teaching slot for the youth, and on Thursday evenings. The Thursday evening meetings take place in private homes, and with a greater social and fun emphasis (although there wlll usually be a brief teaching slot) it is a great evening to bring your friends to - particularly if they are not familiar with, or at ease in, a 'church' setting.
Y2C+ (Year 10+)
Y2C+ meets on a Thursday evening in various locations around the Reigate and Redhill area, and are encouraged to come to our Sunday evening meeting - Christ Central @ Costa (6.00 - 8.00pm at Costa, Redhill).
For more information about any of these activities, please contact the church office.
