Hello All!

Well another month has past and is time to for another prayer letter I hear you cry! Well here’s what’s been happening this month!

First of all a huge thank you all for all your support, it’s much appreciated and really encourages me!:D

This month has been overall great but tough at times to be honest. I’ve learnt the lesson of friends will start to freak out when you choose to live wholeheartedly for Jesus and make no compromises in the way you choose to live, so be warned! However God is good and has shown me who my true mates are and all I can do is pray for the others.
It’s also been tough with my health not being at its best; please pray God will break though.
When times have been hard I’ve learnt the only refuge is Jesus and His amazing love and to embrace this, for He cares and Loves us.

This month kicked off with an awesome training session where we studied New Testament History, Kids and Youth work and Salvation. Was a great time to be with the group again and I learnt a lot!

I had the privilege of baptising the girl I have been discipling since I’ve started FP, who became a Christian at Newday this summer and also one of our other youth being baptised too, both huge encouragements! Please pray God will continually be with them and they will strive after God’s plan for them everyday. After the baptisms the Gospel was preached and 6 teenage girls (which were the girl who got baptised friends) responded, one being a recommitment and 5 being a first time commitment. Hannah, another lady Claire and I talked them through making a commitment to following Jesus and prayed them through the prayer of commitment, which was so exciting!
The girl who made a recommitment had also given her life to Christ at Newday, but not having a Christian family around her had found it hard. She was really encouraged by the baptisms and the following Wednesday another girl and she approached me at Y2K (youth group for 11-14s) and told me they wanted to get baptised also! Please pray for wisdom for us leaders as to how to approach these girls’ parents about this and guidance for me as to how I can best get alongside these girls.

Sublime has been going well, with our youth all turning up, the band going from strength to strength and most importantly seeing how our youth have been developing and growing stronger in their relationship with God, with many stepping out in gifts of the Spirit, such as pictures and words, which has been so encouraging.

I have been taking a lot more responsibility in Y2K with regularly doing part of the talk each week and with the organising and planning games and activities each week. Last week I set them the challenge of pretending they had kidnapped one of our leaders and creating a ransom note, which was very amusing!

Kidz Klub planning for Christmas has been going well, with me planning the games and now buying everything for it. We also are now organising a Carol Concert to reach out into Merstham and the parents of the children from Kidz Klub, (majority of the families being non-Christians), so is an incredible opportunity. Please pray this will all smoothly come together and the people that come will be impacted by God.

Last month I mentioned how training I did some evangelism, known as treasure hunting, on one of the evenings of training. For those of you who haven’t heard of treasure hunting it’s basically a tool for prophetic evangelism. A group of you, including at least one person who person who has done a treasure hunt before, pray are filled with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 5:18:  And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit. We then ask God for some clues to people He wants to speak to, and there are 5 categories: Name, Location, Appearance, Ailment and Unusual. You then go out onto the streets, usually starting with your first location. God has hugely blessed and used this in Bedford, below is a link to a testimony about it:

Since my first treasure hunt God has been incredibly using me to step out more in faith, come out of my comfort zones and use me in spiritual gifts, which has been an amazing test of often my obedience to God, am I willing to step out and be completely reliant on God?

Yesterday Hannah and I went up to Bedford for a training day in Treasure Hunting, joined by over 100 other Christians. We received some training how to do treasure hunting, hearing from God and then got into groups of 4, which included one person who had done treasure hunting before. God immensely used us, was truly amazing to walk out into Bedford town centre and see people on the street being prayed for!

In our group we approached many people from our clues. We headed to the shopping centre as that was one my location, where we met a group of 3teenage girls I approached because one had a pink top, another pink shoes (2 appearances on my clues), a lot of other clues matched them, included one of the girls names, Louise and also the ailment breast cancer was Louise’s mum who passed away a few days previously. We were able to pray for these girls and especially for Louise’s family would know God’s love at this time.

We carried on our treasure hunt approaching people and praying for them, including one guy who had a rugby injury on his shoulder and a guy in my group prayed five times for his shoulder to be healed in the name of Jesus and each time got less painful and by the fifth time it was completely healed! Praise the Lord! He was clearly touched by God and said he would tell his Psycho what had happened!

At lunch I shared with the group of my encounter with these three girls, and many other people shared of healings, God’s leading and sharing the Good News of Jesus! These testimonies will all be up on the KingsArms Church, Bedford church’s website and will send you a link next prayer letter.

In the afternoon I led a group treasure hunting of 2guys and myself, which was a scary prospect but God was with me and gave me boldness! We again was filled with the Holy Spirit and prayed for clues in addition to our ones this morning. We approached many people and when were heading back into town to one of the locations of the Game Shop, one of the guys spotted a girl with green shoes (one of my clues). We went up to her and her two friends, and realised her other friend had red hair (another of my clues), I explained we were Christians and believe God had led us to them, I said how I hadn’t seen anyone else with green shoes on red hair in Bedford! I went through my clues and another one was ‘smoker’ and they were all smokers. They told me how they’d already met some other people on a treasure hunt and one of the girls had a cold which had been healed half an hour ago! I asked if they believed in God and said I believed God wanted to know them, especially as God had led 2groups of us to them and they agreed wasn’t a coincidence. I asked if could pray God would impact them with His love and they were like “that would be great, yes please!” So in the middle of this street I prayed for the three girls, I then told them about the nearby church and they said they would maybe come along.

We then went into Game and saw a girl working there with red hair, we approached her, and she was a Christian but had stopped going to Church and felt distant from it all, I told her we would pray for her as we left the shop that God would surround her with His love and impact her and she said that would be great!

Please pray for all these people we met treasure hunting, for I believe seeds have been sown, pray that this would spark off questions and they would turn to Jesus and come to know Him as their Lord and Saviour!
We are hoping to start treasure hunting in our Church please pray God would give us to the boldness and guide us in this.

Praise God for He is so good! He has once again provided incredibly for me as I have trusted Him, for our God is Trustworthy and we should never take this lightly! He is Good, an amazing truth we so often forget. He is sovereign and reigns above all, He is in control and has a plan for our lives. Praise our Lord!

Lots of love to you all; May God Bless you as you seek Him!
