Could you do with more joy in your life? It can be found, even in the middle of difficult circumstances.

You know that things are not going well when you are locked away in a prison. Not only is it hard for you, but you are limited in your ability to influence what is going on for people who are outside. If all you could do was write ... what would you say?

The letter the apostle Paul wrote from his prison cell (probably in Ephesus) to the small church in the oppressive Roman colony of Philippi was all about Joy. Where it could be found, even when everything else wasn't working out as you'd hoped for.
