At the moment our main leadership is an eldership team of two men who, along with our deacons, care for the church.

Kath & Al Semple

Nik & Claire Ball

Responsible for:

  • Our Morning Congregation
  • Teaching
  • Training
  • Discipleship
  • Overseeing Cell Groups
  • Community Outreach

Responsible for:

  • Leading the eldership team
  • Our trustees
  • Operations Oversight
  • Office Management

Due to the departure of Paul Hanley to be involved with church planting in Cornwall, the eldership team reduced to two in January 2012.  Our intention is to add 2-3 more people into the Eldership team sometime during 2012 and expand the number of our Deacons to about 12 people from 4 currently (Jan 2012)

Nik and Al are NOT the only leaders, nor do they do everything (!), but they have the responsibility for making sure everything that should happen does happen.

Their current priority it to see the formation of a wider leadership team that works alongside the eldership to benefit the church community.

Nik took on the responsibility of leading the eldership team in May 2011.  He started working part time for the church officially at that point.  In addition, he is the CEO of a family business developing full scale Formula One racing simulators and marketing entertainment and activity centres around the world. Nik and Claire have been married for ten years and they have two children.

Al and Kath have been married for 25 years and they have four children - one is at University and the other three are still at secondary school. Al has been employed full time by the church since 1997, leading the eldership team for much of that time. Before working for the church, he was a science teacher and spent seven years working for a large pharmaceutical company. Kath also works for the church and is responsible for the administration and childrens work. She is a keen walker and triathlele, in the church she leads a cell group and one of our KidzChurch teams. They have been part of the church since it was planted in 1991 and have lived in Redhill since 1995.

We anticipate expanding the Eldership team during 2012.  In the mean time,  Mark Hope (a Deacon) has picked up a number of the responsibilities Paul had previously held.

These include:

  • The Evening Congregation,
  • Children and Young people in the Church
  • the Worship team
  • the Welcome team
  • the Prayer Ministry team

Between the two couples there are more than 120 years of Christian experience, and we are committed to seeing the Kingdom of God enlarged through this community by transforming the lives of normal people!
